How Intervention Saved Peanut
When life unraveled for his owner—loss, illness, and caregiving—Peanut’s care quietly slipped. Left in a pasture with two other horses, he was likely pushed off hay, and years without dental care left a sharp hook tooth that made every bite painful.
Those small gaps added up. Peanut became malnourished, weak, and uncomfortable—like many horses who suffer silently until things turn critical. That’s why intervention matters. Without it, issues like poor nutrition, dental disease, and herd stress can go unchecked.
A concerned neighbor made the call that changed everything. Peanut was brought into our care, where he’s received proper nutrition, dental treatment, and a plan for gelding. After four months of consistent care, he’s gaining strength and moving toward a healthier, happier life.
Peanut’s story is a reminder: awareness and timely action can change everything.
