This flashy 4-year-old Mustang gelding is Coal, who was born at Stormy Ranch Mustang Rescue after his mother, a Nevada Virginia Range Mustang, was rescued from slaughter.

Coal is being trained for the 2019 Lucky 7 Training Challenge by Lisa Sink of Stormy Ranch Mustang Rescue in Sheridan, Oregon. Coal is going nicely under saddle. He is a gem to work with, because of his willingness to please. He likes the trails but doesn’t mind arena work. He would make a nice cowboy dressage horse, very flashy and his gaits are ultra smooth!

Coal has great ground manners and stands tied quietly for long periods of time. He loads nicely into the trailer and stands quietly for the farrier. He is best suited for an immediate rider as he is still green.

Interested in adopting Coal? Contact Lisa Sink at stormyranch@msn.com or (541) 252-7160 and follow their progress on Facebook.

Stormy Ranch has been rehabilitating and training mustangs since 1996 and has found homes for over 40 mustangs. Our goal is to match the horse with the perfect adopter. Total success is in finding the right home for the horse.
